Salem was founded back when light bulbs and telephones were cutting-edge technology. We’ve thrived since then because of our capacity to evolve with the times. In addition to offering online programs via interactive, engaging virtual learning, we also understand that today’s college student has a different lifestyle than those in the past.

That’s why we design our programs to be available online or on campus. Online programs follow a one-course-per-month schedule with few set login times—so you can keep up with your studies and your work or family responsibilities.

We develop our programs with regional, national, and global employment needs in mind. We also seek employer input on our programs’ course content to ensure it reflects the real world.

We also seek programmatic accreditation for our individual programs when appropriate—for example, our School of Business is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), and our School of Education is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) through the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) legacy process.
